What is the digital magazine?

Advntr Together launches in 2023 with a magazine full of articles from parents who adventure with their kids. The articles include stories, resources, tips and “how to’s” to help inspire parents to get out adventuring with their kids. One magazine is released every season for a total of 4 magazines per year.

What is required of me to submit an article?

  • Typed article 500-1,500 words

  • 10 high quality photos

  • 3 sentence biography of yourself

  • One vertical portrait of yourself - either a headshot or you outside

  • Signed contract giving Advntr Together rights to use your photos and article in the magazine

What is in the contract?

The signed contract gives Advntr Together the rights to use your photographs with credit for the digital magazine as well as for advertising both digitally like on social media and print like a poster. You maintain ownership of your photos.

Your written article is exclusive to Advntr Together. You will not be able to post it publicly or share with another company. Access to your article is through the magazine subscription only.

What is the magazine subscription?

The magazine subscription includes the magazine for the season digitally for download. Each magazine is available online for three months of the year. When you download the magazine, you keep it forever.

How do I share that I wrote an article for the magazine?

When your article is going to be published, I will email you that it is in next season’s edition with an image for you to post publicly and text your friends and family. As a thank you for sharing your article, the magazine your article is in is free to you. 

What do I receive for submitting an article to Advntr Together?

You receive free access to the magazine your article is in and can download it to keep. If you want subscribers to find you on Instagram, you will be in the Featured highlight on our Instagram account for the three months your article is run. You will also be featured on the authors page on our website for the duration of your article run.

Will my article be featured elsewhere?

There is a second contract that gives permission to Leslie Truesdell, owner of Advntr Together, the right to use your story and photos in a future publication like a book. You can opt in or out of this.

How do I think of what to write about?

Think of specific adventures you had a great time with your kids. Then think about if there was something funny, emotive, or learned during that experience. Jot down all the ideas that come to your mind even if you think they are not what you want to write about. This releases your mind of thinking of it and you can continue to think of experiences you have had with your family.
