Collections with digitals and print credit
STEP ONE: CONTACT ME - BOOK YOUR SESSION
On our call, we will go over any questions you have and select a date that works best for your family.
To reserve your date, sign an online contract and pay $250 for the session. Your session will be around 2 hours.
HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR DATE AND TIME:
Children under age 4 usually do better in the morning, so booking an early session would work well. Children over 4 tend to be able to stay up to sunset, and we can book in the evening.
With the Aspens changing colors starting end of September to early October and holiday cards getting prepped, I am busy during that season with bookings, so get in touch with me early.
If you want photos for a specific date or holiday like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, please schedule your session 5 weeks before the holiday to allow for editing and printing time.
From October to May, temperatures early morning and evenings can be below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I always recommend bringing puffy jackets for sessions in the winter.
Beautiful photographs can be taken in any weather (overcast, windy, sunny), but I know it can be hard for kids in freezing temperatures and we don’t want to be outside under a thunderstorm or in smokey air quality, so we can reschedule your session or photograph inside.
In Lake Tahoe, Baldwin Beach is my favorite spot personally as well as photographically, so I’ll always recommend to photograph here with the pine trees, Aspens, Mt. Tallac, and Lake Tahoe. It’s such a gorgeous spot I want to share with everyone.
NEWBORNS:
Babies tend to be happiest in the morning, so for newborn sessions I usually arrive at your house between 9-10am. This makes for a relaxed newborn session since I come to you and you have everything your baby needs at home.
For newborns, I’ll book two dates, and we will choose the best one after baby arrives. At three weeks old, babies are more awake and I can capture your newborn’s expressions with their eyes open.
STEP TWO: YOUR FUN PHOTO SESSION
Once we have decided on a date, I will send you your welcome guide going over everything from what to wear to how to prepare the kids for a great session. We will also decide on a time and location.
A week before our session, I’ll email you to confirm our date and location. At that time, let me know if you have any last minute questions. If someone in your family gets a fever, you can let me know and we can reschedule.
Sessions are around 90 minutes to allow for bathroom breaks, snacks, or a child meltdown. I’m not going to charge you extra for a little more time. Your kids are number one, so I want to make sure they are happy and take off the time pressure. The day of the session please schedule 2-2.5 hours for your session, so you don’t have to hurry and can arrive relaxed and ready to go. I also usually recommend to bring a picnic to enjoy at our location or stay to watch the sunset over the lake.
When we are in a nice spot for directed photos, we will spend 10 minutes at that location. I’m focusing on the connection between you and your family, so I’ll tell you to look at your family instead of the camera. Then we will continue on with playing and hanging out with your family.
With this style of photography, there is no way to do it wrong, so you can enjoy being present with your family.
STEP THREE: ENJOY YOUR PHOTOS
The exciting part - gallery delivery!
Your online gallery will be ready 4-6 weeks after your session.
You’ll cuddle up on the couch and watch your slideshow together. Then you’ll decide on which collection you would like to purchase. After that, you will have a month to decide which digital files, prints, and album you would like. Your selections are all done online, so you don’t have any in person pressure. This is a time to decide where and how you want to display your family photos.

From Collection A to Collection B, you get all the images instead of 20 plus an additional $100 print credit.
From Collection B to Collection C, digital files are discounted $50 and you have an additional $150 in print credit.
LAY FLAT, CUSTOM ALBUMS
I’ve been making albums since I was a kid, and they are so fun to flip through now as an adult. When I saw my husband on the couch with daughter flipping through one of our family albums, my heart melted. Albums really span the generations.
The 10x10 album has a linen hardcover with lay flat, professional, matte press paper. $400

Albums make excellent gifts for parents, aunts, uncles and best friends. Duplicate albums are available for $300.

PROFESSIONAL LAB PRINTS
Your favorite photos from the session are printed on professional photography paper to last a lifetime. Photos are available in a variety of sizes and are great for framing or giving as gifts.

VIVID METAL PRINTS
Photos are printed on a 1/16" aluminum sheet with a high gloss finish which enhances the brilliant colors of the photograph. They come with a stand on the back or flush mount for gorgeous wall art ready to hang.
